Overview
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Refrigeration Mechanic Technician specializing in the installation of commercial and industrial cold storage systems to join their growing team.
This role focuses on the installation, startup, and troubleshooting of large-scale refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers/freezers, rack systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related controls. The technician will be responsible for ensuring systems are installed accurately, operate efficiently, and meet all project specifications and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in commercial/industrial refrigeration, can work independently on job sites, and is confident interpreting mechanical drawings and coordinating with project teams. This role requires solid diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and adherence to EPA and safety regulations.
Overall, this is a senior-level field position for a refrigeration expert who can lead or support complex cold storage installations from start to finish while ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance.
Requirements:
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) required
- HVAC-R certification required
- Proven experience with installation of cold storage units (walk-in coolers/freezers, large-scale refrigeration systems) above 12HP
- Strong background in new construction and system installation
- Ability to prepare and present accurate job estimates
- Advanced troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and lead junior technicians
- Willingness to travel as required
