HV Talent Group is partnering with a highly respected, mission-driven healthcare organization seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support a large Nursing division.

This role serves as a strategic HR leader, partnering closely with executive nursing leadership, including the Chief Nursing Officer, to align human capital strategy with operational and clinical objectives.

Position Overview

The Senior HR Business Partner provides strategic and tactical HR consultation to nursing leadership and senior management. This role blends organizational development, employee relations expertise, labor relations experience, and change management capabilities to support both immediate operational needs and long-term strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate thrives in large, matrixed environments and is experienced supporting represented populations.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with nursing leadership and executive stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Provide consultation on organizational design, workforce planning, restructuring, and talent strategy
  • Drive employee engagement, leadership development, and performance management initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during change management efforts

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters
  • Coach leaders on complex workforce issues
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies
  • Support environments with represented populations and multiple bargaining agreements

Talent & Organizational Development

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning and hiring strategy
  • Collaborate with Organizational Development to drive career pathing and leadership growth
  • Support performance review cycles, merit processes, and organizational-wide HR programs

HR Operations & Program Management

  • Align HR policy execution with enterprise-wide objectives
  • Liaise with Compensation, Benefits, Talent, and HR Operations teams
  • Analyze workforce data and deliver insights to leadership
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (required)
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • SPHR certification a plus
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience supporting large organizations and/or complex business units
  • Experience supporting represented populations and multiple bargaining agreements (required)
  • Healthcare or hospital experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of employment law and labor relations
  • Advanced organizational development and change management capability
  • Ability to influence and coach senior leaders
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting dashboards)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working across diverse cultures and socioeconomic populations
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
