Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and implementing fire safety systems to protect people, property, and operations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of fire protection standards, codes, and engineering principles to ensure compliance and optimal fire prevention.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and review fire protection systems including sprinklers, alarms, and suppression systems.

  • Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, local fire regulations, building codes, and insurance requirements.

  • Perform fire risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) engineers, and construction teams.

  • Conduct inspections and testing of fire protection systems.

  • Lead fire hazard analyses and prepare related technical reports.

  • Provide support during plan reviews, permitting, and authority approvals.

  • Assist in the development of fire safety procedures and training materials.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in fire protection design or consulting.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one preferred.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., HASS, HydraCAD).

  • Strong knowledge of NFPA, ICC, and local fire codes.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICET Certification (Level I, II, III or IV) in Fire Alarm or Sprinkler Systems.

  • Experience in high-rise, industrial, or healthcare facility projects.

  • Familiarity with BIM coordination.
