Overview
A general contractor is seeking a Companywide Quality Control Manager to lead field-driven quality systems across active projects. This role focuses on preventing defects early, strengthening field execution, and improving construction quality through hands-on oversight, coaching, and standardized best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular field quality walks across multiple projects and document findings with corrective action plans
- Establish and enforce benchmark installations, first-work approvals, inspection hold points, and quality checkpoints
- Partner with Superintendents and PMs to resolve field issues and improve trade performance
- Support mockups, testing, inspections, finish reviews, and milestone readiness assessments
- Identify recurring quality issues and drive standardization to prevent repeat problems across jobs
- Track quality trends and help improve companywide field execution standards
Qualifications
- Strong construction background in field supervision, QA/QC, closeout, or warranty roles
- Proven ability to influence field teams and leadership without being overly administrative
- Experience across core scopes such as concrete, framing, waterproofing, MEP, drywall, and finishes
- Strong field observation, documentation, and root-cause problem-solving skills
- Ability to drive accountability and improve trade performance
- Florida experience preferred; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
